Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate midwife to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Band 5 midwife, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to women and birthing people throughout their pregnancy journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, develop, and implement programs of care for patients assigned to you.
  • Utilize your skills as a midwife practitioner to provide individualized care to a named caseload of women.
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care at a high standard.
  • Take appropriate action to ensure patient safety, including delegating patient care to midwives with the appropriate level of skill.
  • Report any accidents or incidents to the Ward Manager or Senior Midwife.
Requirements
  • Current, effective, and up-to-date registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Proven experience in all areas of midwifery practice.
  • Ability to work in a team, think clearly under pressure, and provide leadership and support to junior members of the team.
  • Ability to deal with exposure to bereavement and challenging behavior.
