Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate midwife to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Band 5 midwife, you will be responsible for providing safe, clinically effective, and individualized care to women and birthing people throughout their pregnancy journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for patients assigned to you.
  • Organize and provide training programs for staff and students, promoting research-based practice and evidence-based care.
  • Participate in the co-ordination and allocation of work to staff, ensuring seamless care at a high standard.
  • Take appropriate action to ensure patient safety, including delegation of patient care to midwives with the appropriate level of skill.
  • Report any accidents/incidents to the Ward Manager/Senior Midwife/Head of Midwifery and monitor the safe and effective use of equipment and supplies.
Requirements
  • Current, effective, and up-to-date registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Proven experience in all areas of midwifery practice, including delegation of workload when looking after a caseload.
  • Ability to travel, work variable shift patterns, and undertake manual handling and movement tasks.
  • Flexible approach to working, prepared to work over 7 days of the week.
