Midwife Band 6 Inpatient

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Midwife to join our Inpatient team. As a Band 6 Midwife, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to women and birthing people throughout their pregnancy journey.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for patients assigned to you.
- Utilize your full skills as a midwife practitioner to provide individualized care to a named caseload of women.
- Collaborate with the Ward Manager/Team Leader to plan workloads and staffing levels, ensuring seamless care at a high standard.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary professionals and agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
- Take charge of ward areas, demonstrating leadership skills and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.
- Facilitate teaching, learning, and development of staff and students, contributing to the growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
- NMC Professional Registration.
- Proven experience in all areas of midwifery practice.
- Proven experience of supervising staff and delegation.
- Ability to work in a team, think clearly under pressure, and provide leadership and support to junior members of the team.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, identify personal development needs, and support unregistered staff/students.
