We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife Band 6 Inpatient to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our maternity services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to women and birthing people throughout their pregnancy journey.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care for patients assigned to you.
- Utilize the full skills of a midwife practitioner to a named caseload of women.
- Communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care at a high standard.
- Take appropriate action to ensure the safety of patients, including delegation of patient care to midwives with the appropriate level of skill.
- Report any accidents/incidents to the Ward Manager/Senior Midwife/Head of Midwifery and monitor the safe and effective use of equipment and supplies.
- NMC Professional Registration.
- Articulate and professional attitude.
- Able to work in a team and think clearly under pressure.
- Ability to provide leadership and support to junior members of the team.
- Enthusiastic and assertive with attention to detail.
- Motivated and able to work under own initiative within boundaries of role.
- Leadership qualities.
- Experience of supervising staff and delegation.
This is a full-time role working variable shift patterns, including early, late, and night shifts over 7 days of the week. You will be required to travel to different locations within the trust.
