Job Title: Porter

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Porter to join our team at Spire Hartswood Hospital. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital by providing exceptional patient care and support services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transfer and transport patients safely and efficiently throughout the hospital
  • Collect and deliver clean and dirty linen, as well as dispose of refuse in a timely and hygienic manner
  • Assist with mail sorting and franking, as well as provide general assistance in stores and distributive activities
  • Deliver flowers and newspapers, and arrange furniture and equipment as needed
  • Undertake driving duties as required, and ensure the maintenance of good working relationships and communications within the hospital and department
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders
  • A clean driving license and ability to drive safely and efficiently
  • Experience of delivering frontline customer service and working in a similar environment
  • Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
