About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team at LGH Hotels Management. As a Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, assisting the chefs with food preparation, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment to the highest standards.
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Sweep and mop floors, and remove trash and recycling to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with basic food preparation, such as peeling and chopping vegetables, to support the kitchen team.
- Receive and store deliveries of food and supplies, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Help to set up and close down the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is turned off and stored properly.
- Assist in the cleaning of cooking equipment and work surfaces, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Report any maintenance or health and safety issues to the relevant person, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.

- Previous experience working as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
