About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Porter to join our team at Spire Healthcare Ltd. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital by providing exceptional patient care and support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transfer and transport patients safely and efficiently throughout the hospital
  • Collect and deliver clean and dirty linen, as well as dispose of refuse in a responsible manner
  • Assist with mail sorting and franking, as required
  • Support the general security of the hospital and its grounds
  • Deliver flowers and newspapers to patients and staff
  • Arrange furniture and equipment as needed
  • Provide general assistance in all stores and distributive activities
  • Assist in the receipt, checking, storage, and distribution of goods throughout the hospital
  • Undertake driving duties as required
  • Ensure the maintenance of good working relationships, communications, and teamwork in the hospital and within the department
  • Carry out any other duties that reasonably fall within the general nature and level of responsibility of the post
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and staff
  • Personal appearance must be of a high standard
  • A clean driving license is essential
  • Experience in delivering frontline customer service and working in a similar environment
  • Track record of successful customer care in the healthcare sector
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Caring and sympathetic nature
  • Full and current UK driving license
