Theatre Healthcare Assistant Role Overview

Spire Hartswood Hospital is seeking a skilled Theatre Healthcare Assistant to join their team on a Full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exemplary care by offering a timely portering service, escorting patients between wards, departments, and theatre suites, transporting equipment, medical records, meals, specimens, and linen, and moving furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the multi-disciplinary operating team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Perform routine tasks related to patient health and well-being.
  • Contribute to own personal development and maintain own and others' health and safety and security.
  • Ensure own actions support equality, diversity, and rights.
  • Move patients, surgical equipment, and goods.

Requirements:

  • Experience of acting under instruction and working as part of a team.
  • General portering abilities and moving and handling competence.
  • Customer-facing experience and English language proficiency to IELTS 7.0.
  • Safe use of role-specific perioperative equipment.
