About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Porter to join our team at Spire Hartswood Hospital. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital, providing exceptional patient care and support to our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transfer, transport, and guide patients safely around the hospital, demonstrating a caring and professional approach.
  • Collect and deliver clean and dirty linen, maintaining high standards of hygiene and organization.
  • Collect and dispose of refuse, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Assist with mail sorting, franking mail as required, and provide general assistance in all stores and distributive activities.
  • Deliver flowers and newspapers, demonstrating a high level of customer service and attention to detail.
  • Arrange furniture and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Provide general assistance in all departments, supporting our staff and patients with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Undertake driving duties as required, holding a full and current UK driving license.
  • Ensure the maintenance of good working relationships, communications, and teamwork in the hospital and within the department.
  • Carry out any other duties that reasonably fall within the general nature and level of responsibility of the post.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact with patients and staff in a clear and respectful manner.
  • Personal appearance must be of a high standard, reflecting the values of Spire Healthcare.
  • A clean driving license is essential, with experience of driving in a professional environment.
  • Experience of delivering frontline customer service and working in a similar environment, with a track record of successful customer care in the healthcare sector.
  • Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work without supervision.
  • Caring and sympathetic approach, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
  • Full and current UK driving license, with a clean driving record.
