Medical Devices Lead

Nuffield Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Lead to join our team at Brentwood Hospital. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our theatre, ward, outpatient, and other clinical departments.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the coordination of medical devices for the entire hospital site, troubleshooting equipment issues and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with company representatives and our 3rd party medical device contractor, Avensys, to obtain quotes for new equipment and negotiate contracts.
- Chair monthly and quarterly medical device meetings, collaborating with head office and networking with other MDLs at Nuffield sites to share best practices and address equipment issues.
- Utilize IT skills to navigate MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases for equipment on our fixed asset register, Equipment Compliance, Staff competency compliance, and weekly updates of the National Joint register, Breast register, and Spinal register.
- Provide training and support to staff on medical device maintenance, annual compliance, and validation of staff competency to use equipment.
- Assist the Theatre department and porters in supporting patients to and from theatre.
- Patient-focused with excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Diligent and IT-literate, with a keen eye for detail and ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
- Flexible and passionate about development and training, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
