About the Role:
National Health Service Scotland (NHSScotland) is seeking a skilled Blood Transfusion Specialist to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of patients across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide consultant-level support to the NHSScotland Clinical Laboratories and Apheresis Unit, working closely with transfusion practitioners and hospital committees to ensure high-quality patient care. This involves providing expert advice on transfusion medicine, supervising staff, and contributing to service improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
To be eligible for this position, applicants must be registered medical practitioners with a Specialty Register or within six months of completing their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Haematology. The post-holder will also be required to undergo a PVG Scheme check and provide a criminal record check if applicable.

NHSScotland offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme, occupational health services, learning resource centres, and discounted leisure and shopping benefits. The salary range for this position is approximately £97,000 - £113,000, depending on experience.
