Job OverviewWe are seeking a talented Consultant Haematologist to join our team in the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service. This is an excellent opportunity for a medical professional to develop their skills and expertise in transfusion medicine, while contributing to the delivery of high-quality services to patients and the public.
Main Duties- Providing expert advice and guidance on transfusion medicine to the SNBTS Clinical Laboratories and Clinical Apheresis Unit;
- Supporting the SNBTS Transfusion Practitioners and Hospital Transfusion Committees in the Southeast of Scotland;
- Taking part in the SNBTS National Consultant Rota for out of hours and daytime on-call;
- Conducting research and audit to improve the quality of transfusion services.
