Senior Molecular Pathology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Molecular Pathology Specialist to join our team in NHS Scotland.
The successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of specialist molecular testing, including data analysis, and will contribute to the development of gene panel-based tests using next generation sequencing.
Our team is part of the Scottish Strategic Network for Genomic Medicine, funded by National Services Division, and provides Genetic and Molecular Pathology diagnostic testing in Scotland.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a laboratory, clinical and scientific knowledge in the diagnosis and monitoring of solid tumors and haematological malignancies, and knowledge of a range of molecular methodologies.
They will also have experience in the use of specialist analytical software and interpretation of scientific data, including next generation sequencing.
The role offers excellent opportunities to broaden experience in molecular pathology, develop validation and service delivery roles, and complete a training programme towards HCPC-registration.
