About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) Tissues, Cells and Advanced Therapeutics (TCAT) Directorate as a Quality Control Analyst.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting quality testing on a range of tissues, cells and advanced therapeutics in controlled environments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct quality testing and analysis of tissues, cells and advanced therapeutics.
  2. Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure high standards of testing.
  3. Collaborate with the QC Manager to achieve quality objectives.
  4. Participate in research and development activities to enhance the service provided to NHS Scotland.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Demonstrable experience in microbiological and/or biochemical QC testing.
  • Specialist knowledge of procedures and processes.
  • Ability to work in a controlled environment.
  • Willingness to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check.
