Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Design and implement automated systems to improve manufacturing processes
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve maintenance incidents
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including change controls and validation documents
  • Source and procure services and components as needed
  • Manage and control spares inventory to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Ensure all personal activities are completed on time and to a high standard
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure engineering and non-engineering staff are equipped to perform their roles effectively
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in electrical control and automated systems. You will have a HND level or higher qualification and be able to demonstrate your expertise in working within a manufacturing environment.

You will be a proactive and logical problem solver, able to use the company's lean philosophies to drive improvements and efficiencies. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
