Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, we're seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective production of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on support to production teams through knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods.
  • Deliver projects to support capacity increase, product sustaining, new product introduction, migration, or process improvements to drive site productivity.
  • Collate and analyze data to provide solutions to production and technical problems, including justifications and payback calculations to support capital investment projects.
  • Ensure all process controls, including documentation, machine recipes, BOM & routes, PFMEA, and specifications, are in place and up to date.
  • Ensure all process changes are controlled and appropriately documented according to business procedures, including customer and agency notifications.
  • Address in-process quality issues and non-conformances in production.
  • Support the technical, planning, and production managers through regular communication of project plans, ideas, and delivery.
  • Lead and facilitate an improvement culture to achieve continuous improvement targets.
Requirements
  • Extrusion or wire and cable manufacturing experience.
  • Engineering qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Hands-on practical experience working with machinery and processes.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Confidence to make fast-paced and information-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work on several projects and prioritize activities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing IT and MS applications.
  • Six Sigma and 8D qualified; green belt level or above desirable but not essential.
