Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex engineering calculations to design and develop manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Analyze product requirements to determine the most effective manufacturing routing and optimize designs for manufacturability.
  • Develop and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards.
  • Support supply chain verification and implement programs to improve quality, cost, and cycle time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Lead and implement process validations and new equipment plant trials.
  • Develop equipment requirement and specification documents.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, new product and process development, automation, and equipment design.
  • BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, with focus on process equipment design and automated systems.
  • Experience with extrusion and applicable tooling and high shear compound mixing is desired.
  • Proficient in CAD and ANSYS.
  • Knowledge of control systems is desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and public speaking.
