Job SummaryThe successful candidate will oversee the entire Front Office operation, ensuring that high standards are maintained. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the first impressions of our guests and delivering an exceptional experience from check-in through check-out.
Your main duties will include:
- Overseeing the Front Office operation to maintain high standards.
- Serving as a point of contact for regular and VIP guests.
- Completing Night Audit duties.
- Maximising room occupancy at the best rates and using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
- Understanding and demonstrating correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash by the hotel credit policy.
- Acting in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front-of-house equipment and property management systems.
- Conducting annual and mid-year appraisals with team members.
- Conducting Health and Safety Checks and Night Walks, and maintaining a good status awareness of all hotel areas.
- Representing the Hotel Manager and other senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotel.
- Managing, recording, and promptly resolving issues or emergencies that arise.
- Demonstrating current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area.
- Acting in accordance with all security and emergency procedures and managing the instigation of these, as required.
- Compiling adequate handover to Early staff/Duty Manager.
- Attending appropriate training courses, when required, and assisting with the Night Team's training and development efforts.
- Assisting other departments, as necessary.
We offer a competitive salary range of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including exclusive access to the employee recognition & reward scheme - Heeton Rewards, service-based annual leave, and employee & friends/family discounted rates at Heeton-operated and IHG hotels.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will need:
- A courteous and focused approach to providing a consistently high standard of customer service.
- The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience as a Night Manager in a similar size property.
- The ability to communicate effectively with your team and the hotel teams.
- Flexibility with hours.
- Fluent English language skills.
