**Job Description**

As a Biomedical Scientist in our Haematology department, you will be responsible for delivering a quality-driven, cost-effective, and customer-focused Service, including Haematology & Blood Transfusion specialities.

You will work closely with the Haematology Operational Manager, Blood Transfusion manager, and Consultant Pathologists to achieve this goal.

**Responsibilities**

  • To work closely with the Haematology Operational Manager, Blood Transfusion manager, and Consultant Pathologists to deliver a quality-driven, cost-effective, and customer-focused Service, including Haematology & Blood Transfusion specialities.
  • To practice as a State registered BMS and contribute to the scientific output of the Service, in a manner appropriate to the professional experience of the post holder.

**Requirements**

  • An accredited BSc honours degree in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • Relevant IBMS Specialist Portfolio, IBMS Diploma of Specialist Practice, equivalent level professional qualification, or a relevant biomedical science related, postgraduate M-level academic qualification.
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD.
  • Member of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences.
