Haematology and Blood Transfusion Specialist

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our Haematology department at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with a proven track record in a busy NHS haematology laboratory or equivalent.
The role involves working closely with the Haematology Operational Manager, Blood Transfusion manager, and Consultant Pathologists to deliver a quality-driven, cost-effective, and customer-focused Service, including Haematology & Blood Transfusion specialities.
**Key Responsibilities**
- To work closely with the Haematology Operational Manager, Blood Transfusion manager, and Consultant Pathologists to deliver a quality-driven, cost-effective, and customer-focused Service, including Haematology & Blood Transfusion specialities.
- To practice as a State registered BMS and contribute to the scientific output of the Service, in a manner appropriate to the professional experience of the post holder.
**Requirements**
- An accredited BSc honours degree in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent.
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- Relevant IBMS Specialist Portfolio, IBMS Diploma of Specialist Practice, equivalent level professional qualification, or a relevant biomedical science related, postgraduate M-level academic qualification.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD.
- Member of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences.
