Business Development Director

Mentor Digital, a leading digital agency based in Bristol, is seeking a Business Development Director to drive new business growth and lead generation.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and marketing, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be responsible for developing and executing a business development strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and building relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
The Business Development Director will work closely with the senior team to deliver tender documents, manage logistics, and ensure that internal teams have all the necessary information to deliver high-quality work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling new business opportunities and lead generation
- Outbound cold calling and email campaigns
- Collating and proofing tenders using InDesign, Word, and Excel
- Preparing pitch slides and attending pitches
- Contracting and handover to projects team
- Circulating notes and organizing sales folders and documents
- New business reports and pipeline management
- Daily enquiry tracking
- Organizing new business team and diaries
- New business ticket management in Jira
- Management of Mentor website and posting updates and case studies
- Sourcing email marketing data lists
- Mailchimp email mailouts
- Writing vertical market-specific content and articles
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, excellent sales technique, and good phone and video manner. They will be self-motivated, driven, and confident in their ability to generate new business for the agency.
