About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a rotational development role. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to work across various clinical areas, gaining valuable experience and skills in mental health occupational therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine occupational therapy interventions to maintain, restore, or create a match between an individual's abilities, occupational demands, and environmental demands.
  • Work alongside senior therapists to consolidate and develop your skills, with regular supervision and support.
  • Contribute to occupational therapy plans for individuals with complex needs, under the guidance of senior therapists.
  • Provide fieldwork placements for occupational therapy undergraduates, with increasing responsibility for supervision and delegation of tasks.
Person Specification
  • Diploma/BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy (OT)
  • Ongoing registration with the Health Professionals Council
  • Some knowledge of current best practice in OT
  • Understanding of professional ethics and their application in practice
  • Basic knowledge of the principles of clinical governance, health, safety, and risk awareness
  • Application of the OT process, with a broad range of undergraduate practice placement experience
  • Use of functional assessment and analysis of occupation
  • Positive learning from experience gained in mental health settings, pre- or post-qualification
