About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team as an Advanced Physiotherapist within the Integrated Community Stroke Team, covering the Furness and South Lakes area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding, personalized, and compassionate care to stroke survivors
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior staff members to ensure best practice and support the ongoing development of the service
  • Support the assessment and treatment of stroke survivors, assist with discharge planning, family/carer communication, and attend daily/weekly multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Provide goal-led rehabilitation, delegate work, and oversee complex patients, supporting junior staff as required and liaising with the wider multidisciplinary team
About the Team

The team is made up of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Assistant Practitioners, and a Team Administrator, all dedicated and passionate about providing outstanding care to stroke survivors.

Requirements
  • BSc degree or postgraduate diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate training or relevant experience
  • Previous relevant experience at Band 6 or 7
  • Current knowledge and experience of patients with conditions relevant to the specialty
  • Evidence of mentoring, assessing, teaching, and developing staff
  • Experience and ability to work as part of the multidisciplinary team
  • Experience of audit and understanding of clinical governance
Desirable Qualifications
  • Membership of an appropriate specialist interest group
  • Change management experience and ability to develop expert practice
