About the Job:
We are looking for a highly skilled teaching assistant to work with our SEMH pupils. The successful candidate will provide essential support to help them thrive both academically and personally.

As a teaching assistant, you will work directly with pupils to provide tailored support that meets their individual needs, both inside and outside of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 1:1 and Small Group Support: Provide targeted support to pupils to enhance their academic and personal development.
  • Behaviour Support and Mentoring: Assist pupils in developing positive behaviors, social skills, and self-esteem through mentoring and consistent support.
  • Academic Support: Help pupils engage with the curriculum, offering support within lessons across various subjects to boost their academic achievement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to implement individual education plans and behavior management strategies.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and report on pupil progress, highlighting any areas of concern to the relevant staff members.

Person Specification:
  • Experience: Previous experience working with young people is essential.
  • Qualifications: Minimum GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
  • Skills and Qualities:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with young people.

Estimated Salary: £95 per day.
