Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Animal Care Specialist to join our team at GLG Vets in Northumberland. About the Role
This full-time position involves performing routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals. You will conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries. Collaboration with veterinary nurses and support staff is essential to ensure comprehensive care for patients. Additionally, you will provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness. Accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress must be maintained.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need a veterinary degree from a recognized institution and a valid veterinary license to practice in the UK. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team and independently. A compassionate and caring approach to animals is crucial.

What We Offer
In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary of up to £29,500 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes annual leave plus Bank Holidays, CPD Allowance, and paid fees for professional memberships.
