About the Job:
Cedar is seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join its growing team within the property management industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your credit control expertise and experience to drive business success. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing rent collections, resolving tenant queries, and escalating issues as necessary. Working closely with a collaborative team, you will report directly to the Credit Control Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect rents and charges from tenants, maintaining a minimum of 98% collection rates.
  • Handle over 30 calls daily to manage arrears and tenant accounts.
  • Resolve tenant queries, provide invoices, and ensure timely responses to communications.
  • Follow debt recovery procedures, reconcile ledgers, and prepare documentation for legal action when required.
  • Collaborate with property managers to address disputes and provide ad-hoc reporting.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need a proven track record in credit control, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing demands under pressure. An empathetic yet assertive approach to problem-solving is also necessary. Additionally, confident IT skills and the ability to adapt to new systems are a must.

Benefits Package:
You will be offered a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in maintaining healthy cash flow and client relationships. In addition to the salary, you will receive 25 days holiday plus UK bank holidays, hybrid working flexibility, private medical insurance, and enhanced parental leave pay (subject to eligibility). Our company pension scheme will also be available to you.
