We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement Lead / Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool.

This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care.

HMP Altcourse is the busiest remand prison in the country, with a capacity of nearly 1200 inmates.

As we are a remand prison, we have a high turnover of prisoners - in the last 12 months we have had 6,500 people enter the prison.

This offers a challenging, yet rewarding environment where no two days are the same.

Hours: This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, and you will work on a rota basis across 7 days.

You will work 3 long days (07:00 - 20:00) per week, with very occasional night shifts.

Salary: This position is full-time, and you'll receive an annual salary up to £27,195 per annum - depending on experience.
