We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to join our team on the Alexandra ward specialist older person unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for the nursing team, assisting the ward manager in reviewing standards of care, and contributing to the development of high-quality patient-focused care.
Main Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to motivate and support nursing staff. They will be responsible for:
- Assisting the ward manager in reviewing standards of care and implementing improvements
- Providing day-to-day support for the nursing team, including mentoring and supervising junior staff
- Contributing to the development of high-quality patient-focused care, including developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures
- Supporting the educational programme on the unit, including teaching and assessing learners
