We are seeking an experienced and skilled nurse to join our multidisciplinary team as a Senior Neonatal Nurse Leader at King's College Hospital.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have extensive clinical experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, with a proven track record of leadership and management skills. As a senior sister, you should hold both a neonatal and mentorship qualification and have previous experience at band 6.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the nursing team, taking continuing responsibility for the management and organisation of the clinical area. You will also have continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a professional role model and lead by example
  • Lead and coordinate the nursing team, ensuring high standards of patient care and well-being
  • Develop and implement programmes of care, evaluating their effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement
  • Communicate effectively with patients, parents/carers, and healthcare personnel

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse – Adult or Child Branch
  • Formal qualification diploma/degree or working at this level and able to critically analyse situations
  • Post registration qualification in mentorship or ENB 997/998 or equivalent
  • Current NALs certificate or willingness to undertake

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £54,320 - £60,981 per annum including HCA, which reflects the importance of this position and the skills required. We also offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and career progression.
