About the Role

This SEN Teaching Assistant position is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs. Our educational institution in Oxford provides a nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide individualized support to students with SEN, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing personalized learning plans and providing one-on-one support to students with SEN.
  • Facilitating small group activities to promote academic progress and social development.
  • Assisting teachers and other professionals to assess student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
  • Providing assistance with personal care and mobility for students with physical disabilities, as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.
