Packaging Equipment Specialist
Mercury Hampton is seeking a skilled Packaging Equipment Specialist with either a mechanical or electrical background to join their dynamic team in the North of England. This role involves on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of packaging equipment, as well as diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of packaging equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in packaging machinery.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on proper equipment usage.

Requirements:
  • Field Service Experience: Hands-on technical experience with electro-mechanical systems, ideally within the packaging industry or a similar field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in fault diagnosis, particularly with PLC logic, and experience working with machine and electrical parts, components, and assembly.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a field service role, preferably in the packaging industry.
  • Strong electrical/mechanical technical skills, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the region.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Benefits:
  • £35,000 - £42,000 + bonus.
