Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our residents during nighttime hours. This will involve ensuring their safety and welfare, engaging in activities with them, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be required to communicate effectively with our out-of-hours services and respond to any emergencies that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide overnight care and support to residents, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times.
  • Engage in activities with residents, such as games, crafts, and conversations, to promote their social and emotional development.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident activities, including sleep patterns, meals, and any incidents that may occur.
  • Communicate effectively with our out-of-hours services, including our on-call team and other professionals.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents that may arise during nighttime hours.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure the smooth operation of the residential service.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, including the Philomena procedure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Commitment to the ethos and values of Area Camden.
