SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Overview
Smile Education is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs at a local primary school in Wednesbury, WS10. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity that requires a passion for education and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
We estimate the salary for this role to be around £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement individualized support plans for students with special educational needs
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, promoting inclusion and equal access to learning opportunities
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to ensure seamless integration of support strategies into classroom activities
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 24 months' experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
- A valid DBS registration or willingness to obtain one
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
