Role Overview
Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking an experienced SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS TEACHING ASSISTANT to join their team in a Special Needs Primary School based in Wednesbury, West Midlands.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working with pupils with ASD and will be able to support and engage them in learning. The role involves working alongside class teachers to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils and creating an inclusive learning environment.
We estimate that this role can offer a salary of £83,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Role
- Support pupils with severe ASD, ranging from Reception to Year 6, in a small group setting.
- Work alongside class teachers to develop and implement individualised learning plans.
- Create an inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all pupils.
Requirements
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.
- Have experience managing challenging behaviour.
- Hold a valid DBS certificate.
