We are working with Axcis Education Recruitment, a specialist education recruitment agency, to find an experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team from January. The school we are working with has recently opened and caters for pupils with Autism/ASD.

The successful candidate will work with a small group of pupils, ranging from Reception to Year 6, with severe ASD, requiring essential experience with ASD. Your daily duties will include supporting and engaging pupils in learning, working alongside class teachers to ensure the best outcomes, and creating an inclusive learning environment.

About the Role
  • You must have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviour is required.
  • A DBS on the Update Service or ability to pay £56 is necessary.
Salary and Benefits
  • PAYE salary: 83,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
  • Contract type: Temporary, with potential to go permanent.
  • Work pattern: Monday – Friday, 08:30-15:15.
