Job OverviewAs a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will work in the busy Blood Sciences Department, supporting biomedical scientists in providing a quality medical laboratory service. Your duties will include preparing and processing clinical specimens, handling large numbers of specimens, and computer data input.
Key Responsibilities- Receiving and processing clinical specimens from various sections of the laboratory
- Preparing and distributing samples for testing and analysis
- Providing excellent customer service and communication with staff, GPs, and other users of the Pathology Service
To be successful in this role, you will need good knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication skills. A full training program will be provided to support your development.
