Job Title: Care Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Care Specialist to join our team at Tameside Council. As a Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting young people leaving care and helping them transition into adulthood.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct support to young people, helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
- Work closely with other professionals, including social workers, teachers, and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support for our clients.
- Assist young people in achieving their educational, employment, and training goals.
- A Level 3 NVQ in Care of Children and Young People (or equivalent).
- Experience working with children or young people, particularly those who have experienced trauma or adversity.
- Knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and the importance of building positive relationships.
Salary: £23,000 - £28,000 per annum
This is a part-time position, requiring 21 hours of work per week.
