Job Description

We are seeking a Youth Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing crisis intervention and support to young people experiencing mental health crisis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child mental health, with expertise in assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work with members of the crisis teams and CAMHS to rapidly develop psychological formulations about children and/or families in crisis
  • To provide clinical advice and notes that accurately outline the information being used to guide the formulation and have clear guidance about any mental health risk and any next steps

Requirements:

  • Registered practitioner psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent
  • Post-qualification training in specialist therapeutic work with children and young people
  • Highly developed knowledge of mental health issues, assessment, and therapeutic intervention

Salary: £43,041 - £58,217 per annum
