Job Description
Creative Support Careers is seeking a Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will provide support and guidance to individuals with learning disabilities or autism, promoting their independence and well-being in our supported living services. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing person-centred support plans, collaborating with service users, their families, and wider support networks to achieve optimal outcomes.

About the Position
This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) involves working on a flexible rota, including lone work. You will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding of individual needs. A strong work ethic and duty of care are essential, along with the capacity to contribute to a positive team approach.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement person-centred support plans
- Collaborate with service users, their families, and wider support networks
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to service users
- Engage in daily activities and promote independence
- Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong empathy and understanding of individual needs
- Basic IT skills and ability to use software applications
