About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and caring individual to join our team as a part-time SEN Support Worker/Buddy. The successful candidate will provide support to a vibrant 19-year-old client, Amy, who has severe learning difficulties, autism, and epilepsy.

Job Description:
  • Provide assistance with personal care, such as dressing, showering, and using the toilet.
  • Aid in building independence and social skills through outings and activities.
  • Think on your feet and keep Amy safe during adventures.
  • Assist with occasional longer trips and proxy parenting, up to a week at a time during school holidays.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous experience working with a young adult with additional needs.
  • Ability to stay calm and think sensibly if Amy has a seizure.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a willingness to form a strong bond with Amy.
  • Flexibility for occasional longer trips and proxy parenting.
Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is £22.00 gross per hour on weekends and £20.00 gross per hour during weekdays. Additionally, an overnight rate of £60.00 gross per night applies when visiting Amy's grandparents.
