About the RoleThis full-time position involves working with the Adult Mental Health & Learning Disability Team to provide exceptional support and services.
Key Responsibilities- Supervision and Development: Supervise and develop staff through various forums, including 1-1 practice development, reflected practice, mentorship, coaching, and providing constructive feedback.
- Casework Management: Engage in complex cases requiring autonomous decision-making, multi-agency coordination, and legal preparation and planning.
- Service Transition: Coordinate services and people in relation to transition of care and support for young people moving into adult services.
- Team Effectiveness: Contribute to team planning, effectiveness, and responsiveness. Support the team manager in improving practice and performance by providing day-to-day education and supervision.
- Practice Improvement: Actively engage in practice development forums/meetings, ensuring focused discussions lead to improved social work practice.
- New Social Worker Induction: Contribute to the education/learning and development of newly qualified/newly appointed social workers by overseeing their induction/completion of ASYE.
- Decision-Making Support: As directed, prepare and attend decision-making forums, supporting colleagues with decisions relating to complex/high-risk cases.
- Case Recording: Ensure accurate, up-to-date case recording in line with legislation and available for various purposes.
Estimated salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
