About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist Team as an Assistant Practitioner. The successful candidate will work alongside the Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist to improve the experience of care for people with cancer.

Main Responsibilities

The Assistant Practitioner will work within the multidisciplinary team providing support, dealing with non-complex tasks to allow registered practitioners to focus their expertise on managing patients' complex care needs. They will promote self-management and provide coordination of care, utilizing a person-centered approach from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.

Requirements

  • Significant experience of work within a healthcare setting
  • Experience and ability to utilize all Microsoft packages, including Excel, SharePoint, WPAS & WCP
  • Previous relevant experience in a healthcare environment working in an indirect supervised role within an agreed scope of practice
