We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in the North and West Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Service. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care, working closely with a variety of individuals and professions to support the individual's pathway to recovery.

Main Duties
  • You will work alongside a dynamic multidisciplinary team to provide individualized support and care to service users.
  • Leadership and management roles, as well as clinical duties, will be combined with opportunities to combine leadership, management, and clinical/educational supervisor roles.
  • A strong and supportive clinical network of Consultants will be available, underpinned by a culture of compassionate leadership and commitment to both staff development and job enrichment.

The Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership brings together six local mental health organizations to work closely with people who have mental health problems, their carers, and families to make it easier to get the best possible support when needed.

Requirements
  • A higher degree or equivalent in a relevant medical or psychological field, or a postgraduate teaching qualification.
  • Higher specialist training in general adult psychiatry or equivalent training in another country, or previous consultant experience relevant to this post.
  • Application of evidence-based practice and interest in clinical and policy developments for this care group.
  • Development of close collaboration with primary care services.
  • Must have interest in and commitment to people with mental health problems and their carers.
  • Experience in teaching core psychiatric trainees or other postgraduate medics.
  • Relevant experience of the administrative, management, and leadership roles of senior medical staff.
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching.
  • Supervision of advanced level trainees.
  • Experience in supervising and teaching core psychiatric trainees.
  • Research experience in mental health, e.g., high-quality research as evidenced by publications and citations, driving licence, and own transport.
