Job Title: Wellbeing Development Officer

City of Edinburgh Council is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced practitioner to join our leadership team as a Wellbeing Development Officer. This is a fixed-term position until 31/03/2024 at Craigroyston Primary School.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support learners with barriers to learning, additional support needs, or behaviours of concern to ensure their needs are met in a way that raises attainment and achievement.
  • Set targets and facilitate these targets by providing innovative, creative, and motivational learning experiences.
  • Build and maintain safe and trusting relationships with all pupils, as well as having a deep understanding of the curriculum, nurture, and trauma-informed approaches.
Requirements:
  • Experience in working with learners with additional support needs.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Knowledge of the curriculum, nurture, and trauma-informed approaches.
