About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Home Care Direct. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our client in their own home, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide complex care support, as needed, to maintain our client's health, care, personal, social, professional, educational, and voluntary goals.
  • Assist our client with daily living tasks, including personal care, medication management, and equipment use.
  • Support our client in getting to and from appointments, maintaining their home and vehicle to an acceptable level of cleanliness, and checking stock supplies.
  • Ensure our client's holistic wellbeing is supported at all times, respecting their autonomy and dignity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Care skills, empathy, patience, and the ability to work under your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect our client's wishes and activities.
Working Arrangements

This is a permanent position with a 6-month probationary period. The work pattern is either 2 x 12hr shifts per week for part-time or 4 x 12hr shifts per week for full-time. Shifts patterns will be discussed during the interview.
