About the Role

This vacancy is for a male support worker/personal assistant to join our client's support package to support them in their own home. We will be your legal employer on behalf of the client, and you will not be asked to support other clients. All of our contracts are for permanent positions with a 6-month probationary period.

Work Pattern

Mon – Fri, 8am – 8pm = £ per hour, Mon – Fri, 8pm – 8am = £ per hour (waking night), Weekends = £ per hour

48hrs offered as 1 x full-time role or 2 x part-time roles (24hrs). This vacancy is for a male personal care assistant to provide complex care support in the Woodford Green, Essex area. The work pattern is either 2 x 12hr shifts per week for part-time, or 4 x 12hr shifts per week for full-time. Shifts patterns will be discussed during the interview.

About the Client and Support Needed

You will be providing complex care support, as needed, for our professionally and socially active, creative client to maintain independence, by assisting and facilitating our client's health, care, personal, social, professional, educational, and voluntary goals.

Essentially, the role requires you to respect our client's autonomy and support him in performing tasks he would perform himself if he were non-disabled, as well as provide all care needs including personal care.

You will maintain and promote the safety of our client, both at home and whilst undertaking personal, social, professional, and voluntary activities.

Typical Duties
  • Provide all care needs, including personal care
  • Provide medication and equipment to our client as needed
  • Assist our client as needed getting to and from appointments
  • Maintain areas of our client's home and vehicle to an acceptable level of cleanliness
  • Check stock supplies and maintain adequate stock levels
  • Maintain and organise our client's clothing, belongings, and equipment to his wishes whilst being careful and respectful
  • Ensure our client's holistic wellbeing is supported at all times as needed
