Job Title: Support Worker - Complex Care
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Home Care Direct. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing complex care support to our clients in their own homes, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care and support to clients with physical disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and transfers.
- Administer medication and equipment as needed, ensuring the client's safety and well-being.
- Assist clients with getting to and from appointments, maintaining their independence and mobility.
- Maintain areas of the client's home and vehicle to an acceptable level of cleanliness, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
- Check stock supplies and maintain adequate stock levels, ensuring the client's needs are met.
- Organize and maintain the client's clothing, belongings, and equipment, respecting their wishes and preferences.
- Ensure the client's holistic well-being is supported at all times, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Previous care experience, preferably supporting people with physical disabilities, Gastrostomy care, Ventilation, and Moving and Handling.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, be supportive, kind, and respectful of clients' autonomy.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and policies.
- Reliability, non-judgmental attitude, and a commitment to confidentiality and dignity.
- Willingness to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
