Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated male personal care assistant to become part of our client's care team, providing essential support within their residence. As the legal employer, we ensure that your focus remains solely on this client, with all roles being permanent and subject to a probationary period.


Working Hours and Compensation:
The role offers flexible hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm = £12.50 per hour
- Monday to Friday, 8pm to 8am (waking night) = £13.50 per hour
- Weekends = £13.50 per hour
You can choose between a full-time position (48 hours) or two part-time roles (24 hours each). Shift patterns will be discussed during the interview process.


Client Profile and Support Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver complex care assistance to our vibrant and creative client, enabling them to maintain their independence. This includes supporting their health, personal, social, and educational aspirations.

Key duties include:

  • Providing comprehensive personal care
  • Administering medication and necessary equipment
  • Assisting with transportation to appointments
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the client’s home and vehicle
  • Managing stock supplies and ensuring adequate levels
  • Organizing the client’s belongings according to their preferences
  • Supporting the client's overall wellbeing at all times

Training and Development:

Essential Qualifications:

  • This position is exempt under The Equality Act 2010, requiring male support workers only.
  • A valid UK driving license is necessary.
  • Comfort around pets, particularly cats, is required.
  • Previous experience in care, especially with physical disabilities, is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
