Job Description

Job Title: Support Worker - Complex Care

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Home Care Direct. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing complex care support to our clients in their own homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients with physical disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and transfers.
  • Administer medication and equipment as needed, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
  • Assist clients with getting to and from appointments, ensuring safe and timely transportation.
  • Maintain areas of clients' homes and vehicles to an acceptable level of cleanliness, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Check stock supplies and maintain adequate stock levels, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Organize and maintain clients' clothing, belongings, and equipment, respecting their wishes and preferences.
  • Ensure clients' holistic well-being is supported at all times, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
Requirements:
  • Previous care experience, preferably supporting people with physical disabilities, Gastrostomy care, Ventilation, and Moving and Handling.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, be supportive, kind, and respectful of clients' autonomy.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and policies.
  • Reliability, non-judgmental attitude, and a commitment to confidentiality and dignity.
  • Willingness to be trained to CQC standards to meet clients' needs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
