About the Role

We are seeking an experienced individual to fill the position of Academic Cover Manager. This role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff, and a commitment to providing a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervise students in the absence of a teacher, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment
  2. Manage classroom behaviour, using strategies to promote positive relationships and reduce conflict
  3. Follow established policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness
  4. Support teachers in implementing lesson plans, contributing to student progress and achievement
  5. Provide additional support to students who require extra help, promoting inclusivity and engagement
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Hold GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
  • Have experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with students and staff
  • Show a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive school culture
